Return & Refund Policy
At The Moss Society, each piece is carefully prepared, packaged, and handled with care. Because many of our products are handmade and created using natural preserved botanical materials, all online shop purchases are considered final sale. We do not generally accept returns, exchanges, or issue refunds.
Premade Moss Art & Botanical Products
Premade moss artwork, moss purses, decorative pieces, and other finished botanical products are final sale.
Because preserved moss, foliage, flowers, and other natural materials vary in color, texture, shape, and appearance, slight variations are normal and are part of the unique character of each piece.
DIY Kits
DIY kits are also final sale. Due to the nature of the materials included in each kit, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges once an order has been shipped or delivered.
Custom & Personalized Orders
All custom, commissioned, personalized, and made to order pieces are final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.
Whenever applicable, custom designs are reviewed and approved by the client before production begins.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We want your order to arrive safely and as expected. If your item arrives damaged during shipping, or if you receive an incorrect item, please contact The Moss Society within 3 days of delivery.
Please include your order number along with clear photographs of the item and packaging so we can review the situation.
Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a replacement, repair, store credit, or refund at our discretion.
Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that unusual situations can arise. While our general policy is that all sales are final, certain circumstances may be reviewed individually. Any exception to this policy is at the sole discretion of The Moss Society.
Order Cancellations
If you need to request a cancellation, please contact us as soon as possible. Once an order has entered production, been prepared for shipment, or shipped, it cannot be canceled.
Preserved Botanical Materials
Our designs are created using real preserved moss and botanical materials intended for indoor decorative use only. Preserved materials do not require watering or sunlight and can remain beautiful for years when properly cared for. Do not spray or water preserved moss, as exposure to moisture may damage the product. Preserved moss and botanicals should also be kept away from extreme temperatures, excessive heat or cold, high humidity, and sources of steam. Bathrooms, kitchens, or other areas with frequent moisture or steam exposure may affect the preservation and overall appearance of the product.

Natural variations in preserved botanical materials are not considered defects.
